Wash with the mildest soap on earth, first made from olive oil in the 15th century, castile soap was named after the Castilla region in Spain. It was known as the “queen of soap” and was exported to royalty throughout Europe. Because of its mildness, castile soap is the soap of choice for babies and those with sensitive skin.
Save our skin’s castile soap is made with lots of love and time to spare on a Victorian farming estate in Australia. In big soap-making pots we hand stir certified organic extra virgin olive oil for a very long time, then mould, set and cut each bar just as they did 600 years ago. The soap is then given some privacy to ripen with age, (for at least three months to be precise).
Why? Because we believe in karma and that good things come to those who wait. The end result is a luxurious, long lasting soap bar that is gentle enough for all skin types including baby’s virgin skin.
